Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering youths with world-class digital skills. Speaking through his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, at the Anambra Innovation Week, Soludo emphasized the importance of equipping youths with the necessary skills to succeed in today’s digital economy.
The Anambra Innovation Week, which kicked off with the theme “Creating The Future Of Africa Now,” aims to celebrate innovation, foster collaboration, and chart the digital future of Anambra State and Africa at large .
Soludo revealed that his administration has already trained 25,000 youths in various skills, who are now self-reliant and employers of labour. He assured that more youths will be trained in digital and other skills to meaningfully engage them.
The governor encouraged youths to participate actively in the Anambra Innovation Week program while urging instructors to provide their best guidance to enable participants to proffer digital solutions to challenges facing the region.
The event’s convener, Ms. Chinwe Okoli, Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, highlighted the significance of the Anambra Innovation Week in promoting innovation, collaboration, and digital transformation in the state and beyond.
