Princess Dr. Jessie Ifeoma Udoka-Menuba (nee Oliobi), Founder, Queen-Tovah Cares Foundation International has given out 800 bags of 10kg rice, 480 (2 litres) of vegetable oil, pastry and drinks to the youth, less privileged, orphans, widows and widowers in Amawbia Community, Awka South LGA.
The event, which took place at Amawbia Town Hall on Dec. 16 had in attendance the Indigenes, Hausa and Yoruba communities as well as other non indigenes resident in Amawbia.
The Princess in an interview said that the love of God is her motivational force and that God has always been her strength, emphasizing that it is good to be good.
According to her, christianity is about loving God, seeing Him in others and doing to others what you would like them to do to you.
Barr. Michael Okoye, member Board of Trustee and Southeast Coordinator of the Foundation also in an interview with the press, said that they are there in the season of merriment, reaching out to the less privileged as they always do.
According to him, the Foundation is one with a global outreach. We have branches in US, where the Headquarters is, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Samtome, others.
“In Nigeria, we have it in the Southeast, West and North. The one we are doing here will equally cut across these global branches.”
He thanked the Founder, Princess Udoka-Menuba, noting that it has not been easy, explaining that it took her three months to plan and execute the project, doling out the fund.
“Infact, she is awesome and we pray God to continue to bless her and enlarge her coast to do.”
While acknowledging that it was not rosy in the country, Barr. Okoye thanked God for seeing them through from Jan- Dec, urging all to tarry, promising the Foundation’s continuous aid even as he believed that succour is coming, wishing all Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
Also in an interview, High Chief Ozo Daniel Maduka, Supreme Head Ozo Traditional Title Holders, Amawbia, said, “The Princess is the greatest woman of our time. Her humanitarian service is first among equal.
“She has been sacrificing globally. Posterity will never forget her as she has left an indelible mark on the sands of time”.
Ozo Maduka, then, prayed God to continue to strengthen her with long, healthy life and to replenish her pocket.
Mr Dennis Nweke, one of the organizers said that the event was a big blessing to Amawbia, noting that the Princess has always been there for them.
“This Christmas, she again remembered Amawbia where she is married into, giving rice and hampers to the physically challenged, orphans, widows/widowers and the less privileged in the community.”
He wished the Princess more success, long life and prosperity to continue the good work she is doing to the world at large.
The Amawbia Woman Leader, Mrs Chinyere Anagor, commended the Princess for her magnanimity and humanitarian services, saying that she is one in a million, praying God to keep, protect and guard the Princess, noting that she has written her name in the book of life.
Mrs Gladys Edi, Chairlady Umukabia Women, praised the Princess gesture, praying that such a rare gift should not lack in Amawbia, asking God to keep on blessing the benefactress.
The likes of Gold Offor, Josephine Muo Katchi and other beneficiaries, poured encomiums to the Princess for remembering them this period of hardship in the land, wishing her more blessed, fruitful years of divine accomplishment.
